Pennsylvania Department of Education Names Duquesne
"Center for Teaching Excellence"

Former Secretary of Education Gerald L. Zahorchak announced that Duquesne University was named as one of four Centers for Teaching Excellence to help Pennsylvania teachers pursuing the profession’s gold standard for excellence: certification by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS). Pursuit of that standard continues.

For the next National Board cycle, the support program at Duquesne University will be able to provide fee support for approximately 50 candidates. Please go to the Prep Classes button to register your intent to become a candidate in January, 2011.
